Andy was a true gentleman and a great man. The Andy we knew was hilarious, compassionate, caring and passionate about his family and his dogs. He was generous with his wise advice and was always truely interested everyone he spoke to. A gifted listener. He will be very much missed by all. Gone way too soon.
Sorry for your loss.
Andy was an amazing man. I only worked with him for a short time while at Angliss.
And yeah he had me wrapped around his finger as his boss. Just like he had everyone there.
I once told him I thought he was the smartest man I knew, as he had everyone lined up to do his paperwork work for him.
And ironically no one ever complained. I have never seen anything like it.
The power of his personality.
I use to love walking into his classes because the students were so alive and engaged in his stories. And there were times I had to make a quick turn around as he was talking about putting bets on his beloved greyhounds or something I really shouldn’t be witnessing. He would always have a smile and twinkle in his eyes as he saw me scurry out as fast as I could.
They truly respected and loved him and he had the power to bring out their best.
He was one of a kind. He made me laugh and we had passionate discussions about when and where blue icing can be seen.
He showed me great kindness. Generous and caring. And I am sadden by his loss.
Andy, thanks for the memories. You brought so much joy to those who were lucky enough to know you. We won't ever forget that twinkle in your eyes when you told us stories about your day. Rest in peace.
Condolences to Judy and family from Ron Smith and family.
Remember Andy as a great asset to the College, who formed a high standard of teaching, cake decorating at WAI.
Judy and family, our deepest condolences at Andy's passing. It was an honour to work with Andy, and his wonderful warmth, humour and generous spirit won't be forgotten. My daughters, Indy and Tahlia, have never forgotten their trip to your home to visit the new greyhound pups that Andy named after them -they were thrilled and felt very special! Andy seemed to have such a great way of making everyone feel included and valued. We're all thinking of you today. With sympathy, Carol (WAI), Tahlia and Indy
To share in the years of Andy's wonderfully talented working career at WAI, and to have had such a special friendship, we were truly blessed. To dear Judy, Tania, Brett and families
