Your funeral planner will look after you one on one from start to finish, answering any questions along the way, allowing you and your family to be at ease.
Your funeral planner can meet you at one of our offices, a local cafe or in the comfort of your own home.
Just like the funeral process these things can’t and shouldn’t be rushed, we will move at your pace allowing you to make the right decisions for complete peace of mind.
Prepaid Funerals are funeral services which are organised and paid for in advance. They are organised in assistance with one of our caring Funeral Directors, who guide you personally through the process.
Each personal consultant carefully records all specifications and needs, to ensure that each prepaid funeral service reflects your needs perfectly.
Some of these specifications could include your preferences regarding the location of the service, a preferred celebrant or clergy member, the choice of cremation or burial, flower arrangements, music and so on.
At Golden Gate Funerals, our prepaid funerals are fixed price and protected against inflation.
This means that once a Prepaid Funeral Agreement is in place, there is no more pay, even if the service isn't required for another 50 years.
After finalising your needs and requests, the cost is placed in a trust fund in your name, this ensures that the money spent on funeral costs will go towards exactly what is decided in the Prepaid Funeral Agreement and is protected against inflation.
With this protections in place, you can ensure that your wishes will be carried out exactly as you desire, and your loved ones are free from the financial burden of a funeral service.
There is an administration fee that is paid seperate to the Pre Paid funeral of $550.00 per funeral contract.
That fee goes towards:
- Consultation with your funeral planner
- Liaising with third parties
- other administration duties as required.
The money that we take from you for your funeral is invested into an independent trust, we use Foresters Finacial.
The funds are released to the Funeral Director only when the funeral needs to be carried out.
Should you relocate interstate if you (or your family) are able to find another Funeral Director who can care for you at this time, we can simply re-assign your Funeral Bond over to them. In the end the Funeral Bond is in your name and can only be paid, upon your passing, to the Funeral Director conducting the service or directly back to your estate.
Golden Gate Funerals has been providing immaculate service to grieving families and friends since 2019, so while extremely unlikely, in the event that we were to sell or to go out of business, your money is protected and will not be lost.
Your money is held in an independent deposit taking institution, we use Forester's financial so you would simply transfer your prepayment to another funeral director of your choosing.
If death occurs while you’re outside of the service area of your selected Funeral Director, we are able to arrange for you to be transported back to our care centre. However this will incur additional transportation fees.
If you are travelling overseas and have taken out travel insurance, you may have included ‘repatriation of the body of the deceased’ coverage. If so, this can normally be used to offset any incurred costs.
